SOCIETIES AND CULTURES IN ASIA UNDER THE AEGIS OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES

ABOUT

The strength of Asian societies lies in their multicultural and multilingual fabric. Their societies are complex, vibrant and dynamic in their social structure with environmental diversity. Given this, adopting of digital technologies for inclusive and sustainable development of these societies requires deeper understanding. It is pertinent to note that digital technologies play an important role in protecting, preserving and promoting indigenous knowledges, women empowerment, languages, education, economies, local environment and diversities. It also ensures good and transparent governance and people’s participation to achieve SDGs. In order to safeguard the interests of the society and people, comprehensive policies and guidelines have to be formulated for developing and adopting digital technologies to protect digital and cultural rights of the people. Some nations have made efforts in this regard. It is in this context this conference intends to analyse the use and impact of digital technologies on Asian societies.

WITH THE ABOVE PURPOSE, THE CONFERENCE TARGETS THE FOLLOWING MAIN TOPICS IN THE CONTEXT OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY.

HOWEVER, THE ABOVE TOPICS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIVE IN NATURE. THE PARTICIPANTS CAN CHOOSE ANY TOPIC RELATED TO THE THEME OF THE CONFERENCE.
